Skidmore College Blocks Student’s Re-entry
Albany Times Union
A suspended Skidmore College student who was found to have sexually assaulted a female student last year will not return to the school this fall, according to statements released by the victim and her attorney Thursday.
Reina Keifer, a 19-year-old sophomore from Berkeley, Calif., was sexually assaulted on the Skidmore campus last year. Unhappy with the college’s handling of the case, she organized a campus protest this month of her attacker’s readmission hearing to Skidmore. The school decided to suspend the male for another two years, at which time it could hold another re-admittance hearing if he chooses, Keifer’s attorney said. Below are statements from Keifer, her attorney and Skidmore College, which declined to confirm its decision, citing student privacy.Find more information online here.
