Yasmine’s practice encompasses a wide range of matters representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse, child pornography (also known as child sex abuse material or “CSAM”), and harassment, and retaliation. Her practice focuses on accountability and redistributing the burden of trauma to those that perpetrate and enable abuse.

Yasmine Taeb is a Federal Litigation Attorney at Marsh Law Firm and she works to protect the rights of survivors in federal and state court. Yasmine’s practice encompasses a wide range of matters representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse, child pornography (also known as child sex abuse material or “CSAM”), harassment, and retaliation. Her practice focuses on accountability and redistributing the burden of trauma to those that perpetrate and enable abuse. Yasmine also works on the firm’s legislative advocacy efforts to encourage federal reform involving Section 230 and other civil and criminal statutes related to online child exploitation and CSAM.
Prior to joining Marsh Law Firm, Yasmine’s passion for justice is reflected in her 15+ years of legislative experience, during which she worked on Capitol Hill; served as a Senior Policy Counsel at Demand Progress advocating to end militarism at home and abroad and as a Senior Policy Counsel at the Center for Victims of Torture; has directed the Human Rights & Civil Liberties Program at the Friends Committee on National Legislation lobbying for increased resettlement of refugees, the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention center, and repeal of the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs, among other roles. In 2016, Yasmine became the first Muslim woman and Iranian-American elected to the Democratic National Committee.
Yasmine’s writings and commentaries have appeared in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, The Nation, The Hill, and HuffPost. Yasmine has been honored five years in a row (2021-2025) as one of the Most Influential People in Washington, DC by Washingtonian Magazine.
Yasmine holds a Juris Doctor from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, a Graduate Certificate in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida.
