Melissa Cabat is an Associate Attorney (pending admission) at Marsh Law Firm PLLC. Melissa proudly advocates for survivors of sexual abuse of all ages. Her practice focuses on protecting the rights of survivors and helping her clients secure justice by holding institutions and individual perpetrators accountable for the abuse and trauma that they inflicted and enabled. Melissa’s practice areas include representing survivors of childhood and adult sexual abuse and gender-motivated violence in state and federal court.
Melissa earned her Juris Doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan, New York. In law school, Melissa served on the board of the Suspension Representation Project and the Environmental Law Advocates. In addition, Melissa was a member of the Urban Law Journal and the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team. Melissa was also a student legal intern in Fordham’s Federal Litigation Clinic, which represented indigent clients in civil and criminal matters.
Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College with high honors in Environmental Studies and a minor in English.
