Victims are coming forward to say Dr. Reginald Archibald photographed them naked and sexually abused them under the guise of doing “growth research” from the 1940s into the 1960s.
They say he volunteered as a “pool doctor” at the Madison Square Boys Club on the Lower East Side, where he was a fixture and conducted physical exams on kids.
Lawyer Jennifer Freeman’s law firm represents more than one hundred accusers. They are senior citizens now but say they’re still haunted by the memories.
“He used it in as an opportunity to engage in child sex abuse,” Freeman said. “We have about 150 clients who think that there are perhaps thousands of victims and are concerned that Dr. Archibald may in fact be the most prolific pedophile in U.S. history.”
Freeman tells 1010 WINS there’s a bill called the Child Victims Act that would help his accusers.
“If that statue passes, which we very much hope it will, it will extend the statue of limitations to age 50 and it will also open a one-year window to allow lapsed claims to be revived,” she said.
Archibald died in 2007 at the age of 97.
Freeman wants the now-Madison Square Boys & Girls Club and Rockefeller University Hospital to turn over any medical files and photos they may have.
