Pennsylvania Record

PITTSBURGH — Three adults, acting on behalf of eight girls allegedly victimized in the production of child pornography, are suing federal prison inmate Kirk Nesset, a former professor at Allegheny College, alleging that he possessed pornography with the victims' images.

Jane Doe, Jane Roe and John Doe filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Nesset, alleging harm by Nesset's actions that led to a 76-month prison sentence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the girls suffered damages and continue to suffer damages from the knowledge that the pornography they were forced into continues to be circulated and viewed. The plaintiffs holds Kirk Nesset responsible for invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress and violation of federal law.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek statutory damages of no less than $150,000, actual damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Katie M. Shipp of Marsh Law Firm PLLC in New York.
